@briguyd Yeah, I was surprised I didn't see any mention of the K-x anywhere else (comments or article). Features to price I think it beats every other entry level/upper entry level DSLR out there.
I'm guessing (hoping) that this as a proof of concept device, it's only meant to show manufacturers the capabilities of their technology, in which case all what it really needs is what they've left in there: the multitouch screen. I hope we get to see their multitouch again in a more capable user-oriented machine though..
well I don't know about russian or greek, but for arabic we have a service (at www.yamli.com) that automatically transliterates from english letters to arabic.
For example if I wrote alarabiya (or al3rabiya for that matter :P), it'll convert it to العربية for me.. I thought it was kind of cool :P
Around these parts for arabic speakers, it's children's slang for poop. Like if a mom wants to ask her little kid if he's used the bathroom, she'd use the word kiki...

Somehow I don't think this product name will go down well around here...
Are you sure? I didn't see an express card slot or mini usb on the main unit
actually, it seems to be a power brick/expansion box, similar to the voodoo envy. If you check out the read link they mention a expansion slot and put the following:
"Expansion Slot
2xUSB host, 1 x USB mini, 1x mini PCIExpress Slot, USIM card slot &l"
I like the way slot-loading drives feel more robust than the traditional pop-out tray, I just wish there was a way to make them work with those cool mini-cds and mini-dvds out there (which I use occasionally..)
Actually, this camera does take HD video. According to the official specs it's at '1920 by 1080, at 60 fields per second' I don't know why they use the word fields, but I'm guessing it means the same as frames.
wow, 7 replies and only one of them about the actual post...
Actually I sort of got the feeling that most users who bought a $200 computer as their main computer (as in they don't have another windows computer to use), aren't really going to want (or in many cases be able) to install programs, be it on linux or windows. What comes with the OS is what they're going to use.
I know it's hard to believe, especially for the type that would frequent a site like Engadget, but I personally know people at that skill level.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
