Raon Digital's netbook gets official, goes by Everun Note {Engadget}
Aug 12th 2008 10:07AM actually, it seems to be a power brick/expansion box, similar to the voodoo envy. If you check out the read link they mention a expansion slot and put the following:
"Expansion Slot
2xUSB host, 1 x USB mini, 1x mini PCIExpress Slot, USIM card slot &l"
Dell Studio 17 and Studio 15 review roundup {Engadget}
Jun 28th 2008 8:29PM I like the way slot-loading drives feel more robust than the traditional pop-out tray, I just wish there was a way to make them work with those cool mini-cds and mini-dvds out there (which I use occasionally..)

Apr 2nd 2008 7:52AM Actually, this camera does take HD video. According to the official specs it's at '1920 by 1080, at 60 fields per second' I don't know why they use the word fields, but I'm guessing it means the same as frames.

Wal-Mart sells out of the $200 Linux gPC {Engadget}
Nov 13th 2007 6:02PM Actually I sort of got the feeling that most users who bought a $200 computer as their main computer (as in they don't have another windows computer to use), aren't really going to want (or in many cases be able) to install programs, be it on linux or windows. What comes with the OS is what they're going to use.
I know it's hard to believe, especially for the type that would frequent a site like Engadget, but I personally know people at that skill level.
Eizo whips up FlexScan SX2761W / SX2461W LCD monitors {Engadget}
Nov 8th 2007 6:31PM Well with my computer it's part of the advanced display settings that came with my video card (it's an ati mobility x600). I have options to rotate it 90, 180, and 270 degrees. There might be some programs out there that can do the same thing for you, but I really don't know.
Eizo whips up FlexScan SX2761W / SX2461W LCD monitors {Engadget}
Nov 8th 2007 4:23PM Well, this is actually pretty cool. This is the first time I've seen anything larger than 24 inch that can rotate to portrait mode, and thats one feature that's important to me (for doing lots of reading or web-browsing).
It's just too bad this also happens to be -way- out of my price range. The 24 inch model is almost double the price of Dell's 24 inch 2407WFP-HC, and to my understanding, Dell sells the best LCDs (or at least close to the best). That's not even considering the cheaper TN panel displays out there..

Jun 20th 2007 8:48PM @mark: That was exactly why I emphasized 'country'. The united states is invading these countries because terrorists bombed the towers. Doesn't seem very logical to me. I sincerely hope I don't get a reply saying 'Ahh! But those countries are supporting terrorists! therefore they, and all of the citizens within deserve to be bombed to hell!!' Thats not even true to all the countries. Like what did Iraq have to do with 9/11? And they certainly didn't have any weapons of mass destruction...
@Das: For the most part, I agree with you. US soldiers shouldn't be put in harms way, but at the same time I worry about the consequence of waging war without the fear of loss of human life. what would stop the US from invading every country they don't like?
But at the same time, I don't like how there isn't any consideration for the citizens that are being killed by the US military and US military equipment. Sure, I know US citizens care most about US soldiers, and thats alright, but where's the justice in not caring at all for the thousands of families torn apart and the children killed in the country the military is invading?
@coffee: Okay, war sucks... It's generally a bad thing, and we don't want to be in one... so the solution to the problem of war is to bomb them until there's nobody left to oppose us? Does this seem right?
