I just ordered a 32gb PATA SSD for my almost 8 year old Inspiron 8000... I hope it arrives before spinning HDD #3 dies...
So I guess everything from NBC you paid for in the ITMS you can not play anymore in a few days? Right, isnt that why the stuff has DRM, to revoke rights/licenses for the customers? Puh, I'm so glad I "steal" the stuff...
It took comcast only one week from changing me from a customer to a target. Emule traffic, 200kb/s up... after one week all connections were reset within seconds, no data flow in or out possible. Calling support: not our problem, must be something on your side (of course, I'm stupid). Turned on the protocol obfuscation, seems to work great with comcast routers, no more resets, full speed.
"something nice about engadget"... let me think, it takes 2min to load on my 500mhz laptop, uses almost all resources, but look, i'm here... again... and again.
I bought one from Philips, and my only recommendation is: do not buy it!

1. software is a piece of "crap", it doesn't even recognize my local harddrive, i've to copy picture to a usb stick to add them to the frame

2. the software modifies your original images w/o asking! (changes exif information!!! be warned!)

3. frame navigation: sucks, 5 clicks to start a slideshow

4. local languages: german has more french than german, even english is wrong, messages cut off

5. auto on doesnt work, auto off works sometimes

...never ever again a photo frame from Philips for me...
as many said before me... tell me one online store where to buy it, or one that has at least 2-3 out of the 20 we heard about in the last few month.
So so Sony... are you telling me next that the PS3 is made in US for the USA?
my Volkswagen GTI vs GPS is 10 miles off every 400 miles, thats 2.5%... but my GPS sometimes says I had a top speed of 180mph... maybe its just air missing in the tires, or the tire wear. i dont care, it probably makes the road safer.
help me, I didnt get what DreamScene is... for me it sounds now just like a video player, but there must be more... any hints?
and another one that is more frame than everything else, why do they need 2" wide frames?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
