How does your PS3 stream content from BT?
The current BT Vision box has a digital tuner built in for live TV, they do not stream live TV as far as I am aware. (So with no tuner in the Xbox live TV was never going to happen). This is basically just a way for MS and BT to expand the amount of content that can be offered in the UK since BT has rights to much more than MS Marketplace does.
I ordered from RM already, delivery date of the 8th November. Will see if they can stick to it.
"How does this compare to me already being able to make Skype calls on my Pocket PC over wifi?"

Come stand next to me in the middle of a field where I can get a nice 3G signal and you have no wifi. I can call for free on Skype, what can you do... ;)
This has been available for months! I used Skype on my N73 from Australia to call back to the UK for free.
My 3 month old TS-101 has just died, might see if I can get it replaced with one of these then!
Thanks for the chance!
Wifi, certainly in the UK, is just not widespread enough to ever even come close to offering a good coverage system. You would be forever walking around trying to find a Starbucks (and having to buy a coffee just to get on the connection).

As for 3G, well for the phone to work in the UK it will need to support it. Only one network has EDGE (Orange), and it's not very popular as it was more or less just skipped for 3G.
"IPTV channels also require fiber optic to the home to get the necessary bandwidth for the show."

Better not tell BT that eh! Their IPTV service runs over copper cables!
It will work fine over copper phone lines. The BT IPTV service is over ADSL and we have a really old network here.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I want a 13-incher. I need something with a great keyboard for typing, as this will mostly be used for note taking in class. I am absolutely smitten with the XPS 13, but I'm afraid that with its age Dell is going to give it an update soon. Any advice for someone in my shoes?"
