AmazingRobie: Yes, Apple sells TV-out cables; not currently.
Excellent! I'll buy one!
I just got my new 15" MBP today, and was also disappointed to find that the MacBook's right-click feature wasn't enabled, even after running Software Update. However, a quick trip to SideTrack and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the MBP version was released -- today! Nice!

So, if you own a 15" MBP - do yourself a favor and go buy a copy of SideTrack. I've been a registered user for years now. It's great software. Enjoy!
I just tested internet access through Bluetooth to the Verizon Motorola E815 over EVDO. I wasn't sure whether the Bluetooth DUN method would enable full EVDO speed, but I was pleasantly surprised with the speed. Didn't test uploads, but downloads seemed quite fast, with various files coming in at 50Kbps - 150Kbps. Very nice! A great option for 12" owners, or for anyone that could use occasional remote net access and doesn't want to shell out $60 a month for unlimited access.

Although I haven't used MacGourmet, I'd recommend Connoisseur to anyone - I'm very happy with it!
JRCG, I don't know the actual answer to your question, it's not an area of expertise for me. However your line of reasoning makes sense to me. Seems similar to someone considering a USB 2.0 drive for a USB 1.0 system. However there is a possibly good reason to buy that USB 2.0 drive or that 7200 RPM drive - if you may be able to take advantage of it in the future. In other words, if you need a new drive now anyway (either your old drive is dead or you just need more space) then it may be a good idea to spend $300 on a drive that has a lot of future potential (i.e. you could install it into a future system to take full advantage of its capabilities) rather than $200 on a drive that will become your next bottleneck. You could also consider using an external FireWire drive - that would give you 480mbps i/o. You could also install a FireWire 800 or SATA PC Card if you wanted something faster than 480mbps.
I've had one of these on my mental wishlist for a while, but it's way out of my budget right now. Oh well, I think I see a cheap external drive in my future.
OK, now the PowerBook line really needs an update!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
