@Scott

I called TWC in SoCal when I was late on a payment, told them that their service was too expensive and they gave me $15/month off for the next year on my triple package. So it's now just $105 per month plus the DVRs.

Since the economy has tanked I'd be shocked if Cable Cos have raised rates. Everything I've read and seen has suggested that Cable Cos and Phone Cos are lowering rates.
You're right, I was unnecessarily harsh on you. Just tired of seeing so many meaningless comments on blogs, particularly one's that are obviously incorrect.
Knowing nothing about Entourage or NASCAR I'd still be willing to bet $100 that that's filmed in CA and NOT NY. Why in the hell would they film in upstate NY!?

5 second Google search later: yup, it's Fontana Speedway in SoCal

They already are free in Metro areas like DC and NYC. The papers make smaller (both in number of pages and size to make it easier to read on the subway) versions with just the basic AP articles and local news. They rely purely on the advertising but they lack the more in depth articles and niche ones. I can see them expanding though if they can find a good advertising method.
If you bothered to spend 10 seconds looking at the article you would see it was because Flash is not installed by default and she couldn't figure out how to install it easily.
I can't believe neither Switched nor Wired linked to their website: http://www.baitcar.com/ where you can watch the car thieving idiots in action.
Well that's because some cable companies ARE turning off their analog cable TV systems. Optimum Cable in Rockland County, NY for example shut off their analog cable and are now digital only. In fact they pestered my GF's parents for years to upgrade to digital and pay more; eventually they were forced to digital but they still pay their old analog rate.
Modern airline security is there just as much to protect people on the ground/in skyscrapers as it is there to protect the fliers. I likewise don't care if you die while flying but I do care if innocent third parties on the ground do.
More like Starbucks got free advertising and looked cool/laid back for going along with it and not hassling them.
Yeah, that definitely works. I have a great business going where I purchase dinosaur bones from eBay sellers and then sue them for intentionally selling something that is extinct! Please contact me if you want to form a partnership, I've been wanting to branch into hi-tech.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
