It does seem unusual that a Hi Tech company would put it's box up for sale at that price.

I have MOXI now thru Charter Cable. I have both HD and DVR. I pay $7/month for both.

Now lets see, if the box costs $1,000 and at $7/month it would take just under 12 years to break even. So after 12 years I could sale my 12 year old MOXI box for what I paid for it and break even. I THINK NOT, what a joke if they think they can even sell it for anything that would not show a Retrun on Investment within two years if not a year.

When MOXI box is for sale @ $79.95 let me know.
I second the motion. I have moxi from Charter Cable. the cost of the HD and DVR is $7/month. Lets see it would take 11.9 years to break even. But I guess this super advanced technology will be around in 12 years to make it worth while!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
