I've recently switch from Windows to Mac, getting a Macbook.

Overall, I like using the Mac better hands down, but it is not without it's flaws. It's not as stable as Windows. I see alot more crashes, and I have to reboot much more often. I've been keeping a log of the issues I'm seeing.

But yeah, my apt./house will prob. be a Mac outfit from now on, though I'll prob. keep a Vista machine around for good measure.
I have had the same xbox 360 console for over a year, and it has yet to have a single problem.

7 bricked consoles in a row, in all probability, points to user error. That's just too often to be random defects.
Baby-Got-Back, the Game

You get to create a female character, then when you slap her booty, the longer it jiggles, the more points you get.
Bleh. The Super Bowl is about the game, not the commercials. Super bowl commercials are only for women and people who don't know anything about football. Plus, by publicizing commercials, you're being nothing but a corporate pawn, doing their job for free. Having so many commericials to begin with is obnoxious enough, so I saw screw em...let them do their own advertising.
I love how the asian posters on engadget get so offended at any and all topics that involve asia.

You should see how they talk about americans (and europeans) in their countries!
e-voting is a horrible idea for this exact reason. A dedicated team of individuals with enough computer savvy could turn an election.
Women detect aggression, sex drive, and testerone levels through smells. This is one of the reasons women use to reject "nice guys"...they haven't got the right smell.
Bill, I work in cell phones, and have smartphones from three of the major carriers (Cingular, Sprint, and Verizon). And I can tell you that Cingular is the only carrier for which I do not receive service in my residence. Plus, Cingular's data connectivity is terrible: UMTS barely works, and GPRS is slow as all heck. Sprint and Verizon's EVDO networks are fast and reliable and cheaper than Cingular's data plans.

This is why I won't buy an iPhone on Cingular. Bring it out on Sprint for $100 less, then we're talking. A huge chunk of people will share my viewpoint as well.
This thing will not sell well unless the price comes down, it adds 3G, and is available for the CDMA carriers (Sprint and Verizon). Cingular is the worst carrier in the US, and people are not going to switch to them just to use the apple phone.

Other than that, it will just be an expensinve gadget that only a few technophiles and apple fanboys will buy.
Two things that would keep me from buying this phone:

1) Price. If I could get the 4 GB for $299, I might go for it. But $499 is too expensive for this gadget.
2) Cingular. Cingular gets poor coverage in my area, plus there's no 3G on the phone. If they brought out an EVDO version for Sprint or Verizon, I might be in.

No keyboard is a bit worrisome, but I'd like to try it out in person before making a final judgement.

I also wonder about the software stability. They are not letting people touch them at MacWorld, rather you can only see it in a glass case. This leads me to believe they have alot of kinks to work out in the software, which makes me question their June schedule.

This thing will not really take off until it comes down in price and is available for CDMA carriers in the US. And those things won't happen for about 12-18 months after the initial release.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
