ASUS: 10-inch Eee PC coming this year, Atom in June {Engadget}

Apr 21st 2008 8:44AM All of you talk about price not dropping and the 8.9 price that is too high. You have to remember that US dollars keep falling when compared to the money where these laptop are made, Asus make much less profit on them than they used to.

When the US dollars was high, UK and Canada was always paying a premium over USA (as much as 45% on electronic and cars). Now it's your turn and you are better getting used to it, soon, that 15 000$ honda civic will cost 25 000$.

DPMP-003 3-inch PMP packs some NES {Engadget}

Apr 19th 2008 2:42PM I have a similar PMP since last summer, i paid 29$ on ebay and love it.

To answer a question from @Decapitor ; the emulator is built in, you only have to supplied the ROMs, the full NES american package is availlable in torrent and it's only 196Mb.

The great thing is that it have a memory feature that save the current state of the games you play (16 slots in mine), wich the original NES don't have.

NES, mp3,very good mp4, decent 1.3camera, text reader and voice recorder, nokia battery type and charger, USB cable and a pouch, for 29$, you can't loose.

Apr 4th 2008 6:45AM that was a bad product, a thing like this would require every manufacturer to have standard receiver to make it worth.

Darwin meets PC gold-stripping alchemist, Darwin wins {Engadget}

Apr 4th 2008 6:40AM Well, i'm working in a open pit gold mine in Canada, and if your gold ratio is real (1 once per ton), then it's a very good source. Here, we only have a 1 once per 18 tons of rock and it's still very profitable, and it need a lot of manipulation, from the blast to the shovels to the crusher to the processing plant and finally to the baths and stoves, maybe we should switch to PC recycling

Meridian announces MF10 1080p D-ILA projector at EHX {Engadget}

Mar 14th 2008 1:26PM Once a projector is properly setup, it never use more than 800 lumens, no matter what it said on the spec sheet. Some manufacturer use honest numbers (it is the case here). A 3000 lumens from benq probably can't reach 800 lumens under the same setup than this Meridian.

Acer Aspire 6920 and 8920G hands-on {Engadget}

Mar 12th 2008 6:27PM I will change my 5920g this summer and really like those 2 laptop. But i hope they will make a version without the touch sensitive controls. On the 5920g, there is a touch sensitive button next to the right arrow that lauch the disc burning utility and i activate it about 4 time a day by accident, no way to desactivate it. Please Acer remove those.
