This is fantastic news, I just hope that this goes through and they don't cave to preasure from apple etc. It should be possible for anyone to change a battery without any technical knowledge.
That keyboard looks like it came off a Sinclair Spectrum
These look OK, but I'm a bit disappointed in the HDD size, the small HDD put me off the EEE and if Dell are going with a similar HDD size on their new E I'll probably be going for a WIND.

I'd love a small laptop that I could take on my holidays without it taking up all of my hand luggage. I ideally I'd be able to transfer my photos to it while I'm away, but to do that I'd need a decent HDD.

If they can squeeze 160Gb into an iPod Classic they should be able to squeeze 80Gb into the Dell E.
It looks just like the old one.
While I welcome this news, I must say I'm just as sceptical over buying Movies from iTunes as I was about buying TV shows.

If I buy an album from the ITS I can burn it to CD and play it in my car or on my stereo, the price is about the same as a CD and it's convenient, but if I buy a Movie/TV show I'm stuck with it on my iPod or my PC. I can't watch it anywhere else on any other device. Until all these suppliers come up with a standard way of selling video over the Internet I doubt that the market will develop.

Rentals on the other hand are a great idea, after all you aren't keeping the video so it doesn't matter about being able to transfer it. I would like to see some form of subscription service for rentals, before I'd consider them as the individual prices are a bit steep.

Does the button contact the Emergency Friends Agency so that the party can have some guests too?
No wonder they are making such huge profits when they charge so much more for their products outside of the US:

Apple iPod Classic 80Gb: an extra $64
Apple Nano 8gb: an extra $56
Apple TV 160gb: an extra $200

I can't believe that it costs them this much more to sell in the UK as opposed to the US, I won't be buying Apple until they sort out their pricing.
I'm nearly tempted to get an AppleTV, all my music and some video is already on iTunes so it would be an ideal option. If only Apple weren't charging an extra $200 for the privilege of buying it in the UK, they're made in China and I can't imagine it costs that much more to bring them to the UK instead of the USA.
Don't forget me!
Please can I win?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
