What, does not buying it have more of an effect then pirating it? In either case, the game developer doesn't see any money. In terms of 'message sent to developers', it's the same.

So if you're saying that piracy in order to send a message is wrong, so is not buying the game then? You can't separate the two in the eyes of the game developer. Every copy not purchased in their eyes is a copy pirated. So if you're so worried about the sales numbers and not looking like a pirate, buy as many copies of this game as you can!
They're dropping the external GPS chip support for non-GPS devices? Fail. What, is Apple afraid that the extra GPS chip might confuse people into thinking that external hardware can add extra capabilities to their hardware?
I object to this - not because I think Sony should be restricted from controlling what goes into their FW, but because they never disclosed "Will make your 3rd party controllers stop working" in the update notes. If you're going to block out certain HW in your FW, that's one thing. Lying about it so that people update without knowing that they'll lose their controllers? That's just wrong.
Well, on the scale of show-offy fantasy armor, I would have to say that massive pauldrons are better than, say, enormous numbers of nonfunctional belts and zippers.
"The free market-created financial crisis"

Yeah, because the Federal Reserve had absolutely NO role in causing this bubble in the first place. All that money they were printing up to keep interest rates low didn't do a thing.
Level playing field? The playing field was already level. Microsoft isn't stopping anyone from making a competing browser or selling it.
freakdiablo: because really they experience no economic harm from apple using their patent (since patents are bogus); they just have the patent so they can wait until it's used by everyone and then charge monopoly rents
SNAPE KILLS PLAYSTATION!
Windows 7 - preorder code or not, either way, I'm getting it.
This boxart would be so much better if it didn't have the generic explanatory text at the bottom right. That stuff belongs on the back!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
