May 6th 2008 2:10PM I just bought a 24" iMac.
My Power Mac G5 finally crapped out after a solid 5 years of work.
I would have loved to buy a Mac Pro, but it was simply too expensive. When I bought my Power Mac G5 back in the day it was only $1800. I wish they would mc a cheaper mac pro.
I settled for a refurbished 2.8 ghz, 500gb, 2gb, 24" iMac for $1750, taxed and shipped. I love it but am sure I will run into the no-upgrade blues in the future.

9. Am wearing a nice new pair of Nikes and got a pair of New Balance in the box ready to go (but my bro is manager of mens shoes at Nordtroms so I'm lucky, don't hate)
I AM A BIGGER MAC NERD THAN YOU SO GET OVER IT. UNLESS YOU ARE PRE-Performa 575 but I doubt it.

NO DIVX/XVID (there are other video formats in the world other than DRM'd MP4's)
no streaming and remote control of DV video cameras
no streaming and remote control of DVD player
No visualizer for music (one of my favorite features in itunes, so sad for the iPhone too)
Cheezy icons in Main GUI
No standard definition RCA video output (or S-Video)
Cheaper model with no harddrive (drive seem useless in most scenarios)
Photo slideshow lacks face recognition for smart panning and zooming (ps3 has it)
Built in iPod dock and iPod navigation
