However, I think that if this were implemented without racial changes, racism would be rife - I know that even as a non-RP troll I'd find it a bit odd, possibly even offensive to find a PUG and then discover that one in the group was a human. PVP wise, I'm generally live and let live - off the battlefield at least - especially when holidays require sneaking into an enemy city for an achievement, but I've been ganked by too many Ally players while I'm minding my own business fishing or mining while the 5min pvp cool down is still running, to have any good will towards most Alliance on my server (Doomhammer EU.)
When I read the phrase "roughly equivalent character," however, I interpreted that to mean that Tauren Shamen would become Dranei Shamen, Belves would become Nelves, and each other race would have an equivalent on the opposing team. Dwarves and elves pose difficulties, I know. I'd be affronted if I was expected to squeeze my proud Trollish frame into a nasty squat little gnome.
