At the end of the year they should take a poll for the most over reported story of the year. The OLPC would win hands down for this year and the last few years.

Why doesn't engadget just create a blog for the OLPC?
It could be just like Engadget Mobile, but with daily OLPC news!
This has been one of the most over covered stories on engadget!
How is this still a story? Any other gadget this old would already be replaced with a new better one by now.
Nice little hissy fit from Ryan here! This mud slinging is par for the course when it comes from Jobs but the moment anything bad is said about Apple and hissy from Ryan.

Let's face face the facts. The two operating systems are different. Windows has users in mass and Apple has fringe users. Both of those situations bring different problems and different mud to sling at one another. No reason for hissy fits here!

I simply hate AT&T and will never buy another service from them in my lifetime.
They screwed me over and refused to fix the situation.

They went from loosing me as a temporary customer to loosing me as a customer for life as well as the many people who ask my advice on phones and other gadgets.

Why is the MAC guy always ugly and sleepy?
The Paul Miller thing was great.
That said I don't like any of the theme songs. Third place wasn't bad, but it was very generic. The rest are all very amaturish. If it's a meaningless contest then fine, but if your actually going to use this somewhere like the podcasts I would get professional help.
They should have used Windows on those computers. Then we would be raising the next generation of Software Technical support.
Stealing and breaking the rules are two seperate things. Since my napster days I have come to the conclusion that file sharing like that is stealing, especially now that it is so easy to pay for your music online. A breaking the rules analogy would be renting a sony VHS and only being able to watch it on a sony made TV. That is the situation you are in when one company owns a specific DRM like Apple. I think it is their right to put as many restrictions they want on their content, but if I buy it I should have the right to use it however I want without the help of the content supplier. Meaning strip the DRM for personal use, or burn a cd to rip it.
Personally I don't believe it. Everyone knows all apple hardware and software always work great with no problems. Duh, haven't you seen their commercials?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
