Snapstream to shut down Couchville TV listings site {TV Squad}

Jan 18th 2008 2:58PM "the site has no advertising and no other visible means of revenue generation"

Hey Brad, This isn't true. Pretty much every page on the site has advertising on it.

Hauppauge intros WinTV-HVR-950Q USB tuner with Clear-QAM support {Engadget}

Jan 8th 2008 4:28AM Here's the post that Timmy's referring to: http://forums.snapstream.com/vb/showthread.php?t=43398

You can judge for yourself about the future of Beyond TV.

We support the HVR-950 right now so just using this device (the HVR-950Q) as an ATSC TV tuner will work just fine. It's the QAM part of it that we don't support, yet.

Jun 23rd 2006 1:20PM Jason, Do you have any data (or can you refer me to data) about user acceptance of software as a function of the software's memory footprint ? I "get it" as far as why this should be done (basically, smaller download, less obstrusive footprint = software more like service), but I'm wondering if you know anyone that's actually analyzed change in user acceptance when they've dropped their memory footprint and/or download size. TIA.

Beyond TV v.4 will support HDTV {PVR Wire}

Jul 27th 2005 4:34PM "also will support Plextor's DivX-based hardware encode cards." this is something that was added in Beyond TV 3.7 that was released 2 weeks ago. Soham didn't make that clear in the posting yesterday... the way it was written makes it sound like support for Plextor's hardware encode DivX cards is something new slated for version 4.
