He's right, as technology advances MP3 players will diminish in usefulness. Even now a plain old mp3 player is cheaper than the CD it is replacing. However, that is why Apple will continue to advance the line. It will keep getting new duties to make it increasingly irresitable, it's only a short step away from being a full fledged PDA.
Does anyone know if this has a fan in it? I really want a fanless machine since my eee was a bit on the whiny side.
Really? You can get a laptop with 128gb of ssd for $2,000?
These are mods made in 2023. It's actually an imac crammed in an old ipod case. Apparently in the future, the ipod is the new NES controller.
Anyone else think they look like a bunch of pregnancy testers? They are putting mp3 players in everything these days!
Exactly. As in, go to our subsidiary and come to us if you need a $500 Vista "capable" machine.
So $4000 gets you a cheap processor, two outdated 8800's (with no option of the new cards) and a lame case design and no monitor (you can't even add the 24 inch)? Are they just trying to shove people to Alienware and giving up on gaming?
Whoa, their Applesque reflection tool went haywire.
If it was America, we'd just do what we always do, put a Hitler mustache on him and the text would be written in sharpie. These make ours look like signs for a High School rally to elect Jamie Peterson for school president (I mean someone has to be better than the current school president, that Hitler.)
You'd think that Apple could pull some strings and get Nvidia to pull some special loving like with Intel. I mean, where's my 9800 Apple or at lease 8800 sli? Oh well at least they aren't as bad as Dell which claims they have top of the line gaming systems, no 9800's or QX9770, pfft.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
