I tried one of these out at a Best Buy.... and I have to say I HATE the design. It just feels like an old square Motorola phone from the 90's. Even the gold highlight on the keypad is reminiscent of their old phones.

I wouldn't say they're the best carrier in America. Especially considering 80% of their coverage is still EDGE, the whole outage thing, then the whole Danger/Sidekick fiasco. Loooong way to go.

1. T-Mobile?! Really? The only network WORSE than AT&T? That would be a MAJOR downgrade, IMO.

2. 4G is years off? It's already out!

To avoid half (actually OVER half) of the cellular market would be crazy.

There isn't free GPS apps for the iPhone? Even my crappy slider phone on Sprint has turn by turn GPS in it.

Why is engadget so down on prepaid phones? They act like they're a dying breed, yet it's actually growing (according to the WSJ: "The U.S. pre-paid market is expected to grow by a compounded annual growth rate of 3.9% through 2014, according to market research firm Atlantic-ACM.").

A lot of people are turning to prepaid with the down economy.
