A 12 inch laptop is still very small. I used an 11.6 inch EeePc netbook with the 1366 x 7XY resolution (forgot the value), and I thought it was still tiny, even when compared to the 10" inch Toshiba netbook with the massive bezel (although it's still a beautiful netbook).
You, sir, are a moron. Look at the photo.
At first, I thought the article title read, "Medion's $47000 sports camera.....", so I clicked.

:o
1. Make them look nice. Just because they're small in size, does not mean they're toys, nor should they look like toys. Some are nice.

2. Ion.

3. Win 7.

4. At least a 1280 x 800 screen resolution, or very similar.

5. Give them an 11" screen. All keyboard oddities disappear, and it's still super-portable.

I'm not asking for much.
And don't necessarily sound better just because they have lots of drivers.....

I wonder whether they'll be as uncomfortable as other Grados, or leak as much sound? I doubt it'll leak as much sound, but I don't know about comfort. They certainly never worried about it before. Same with bass.
Did they consider the power required to power the Kindle, or did they only consider the direct, immediate environmental impact post-production?
Something is definitely wrong with the stats. I've never seen an iPhone in Japan, although plenty of iPod Touches.
Exactly. My Fuji F31fd is the shiz, and I'm never going to dispose of it unless it's completely unfixable.
Perhaps you're the type of person who would only be happy if the story had an Apple spin on it.
It's OK because even if Moblin failed, they'd still be selling chips to just about everyone on the planet. ;)

They're not really in the OS business. It's not where they make all their money, which is why they also don't mind the challenge. I'm certain they don't, as long as their hardware plans go through. Remember, Intel's strategy is to provide mobile hardware and software, and I doubt the software is as important as the hardware.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
