To be honest - that *is* Star Trek -level cool. Very much proven by the people who have their wedding ceremonies performed in Klingon.
1 mile = 1609,35 meters so yes, 100km = 62 miles.
And here is your value proposition. Just on the camera side you get
* lighter, smaller and more durable (well, SSD would also do this) HD cams
* more continuous recording capacity
* no need to transfer the material from the camera to the target device

Sure, it probably won't sound much of a deal for shooting the family vacation videos in Florida.
Razer Copperhead is what I'm using - for about two years now. It is the best mouse I've ever had in my hand, fits my palm perfectly and is very, very accurate, especially when paired with Razer's superb aluminum mouse surface (which does get a tad chilly at times :p ).
Not to mention that the D40 is dirt cheap these days - if you can find one. I finally gave in to my urge to buy a DSLR when a local store had the D40 kit for 399€... :)
Nokia's communications director Kari Tuutti stated to the Finnish press on Friday that the company is not in negotiations with Microsoft in regards of Windows Mobile and that Nokia's smartphone operating system strategy remains completely unchanged. Nokia's smartphones are based on the S60 platform while the internet tablets are based on a Linux platform.

He further stated that Nokia and Microsoft have several areas of co-operation in audio and video codecs, drm technology and platform level compatibility.

"Slight" delay?

That is an ok proof of concept, but to be usable the response time - and I would guess the accuracy - has to be greatly improved. Now it is but a flashy showpiece.
Shuffle me, please.
"Do you feel your blood glucose level has been good and stable lately?"

What kind of a diagnosis question is that? I really hope that's just something a marketing monkey wrote in her Photoshop and the real questions are a bit more understandable and answerable by the patients. How the hell should my 89 -year old grandfather know if his blood glucose level has been "good and stable"?
I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment of the Trackball Explorer being the best trackball - and one of the best HID's overall - ever. For non-accuracy-critical extended use it is beyond comparison.

For drawing and gaming I far prefer my Razer Copperhear. Combined with the aluminum Razer surface it is the fastest and most accurate mouse I have used bar none, and the ergonomics leave little to hope for either (although still surpassed by the trackball Explorer).
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
