There are LOTS of Engadget articles I couldn't care less about. If it's about video games or robots or vacuum cleaners which resemble robots... I just skip it. I never feel compelled to take time out of my busy day to read the article, then piss on it in the comments section.

I didn't do that when Vista was launched. I didn't do it when the PS3 was launched. Etc... In other words, I only comment on stories/products I'm actually interested in.

Why does every iPhone - any Apple story for that matter - bring out every douchy 15-year-old hater from under his mother's mattress to talk about how Appel is teh suXXorz or whatever?

I mean, get a life jackasses. Seriously! If you hate Apple (or Microsoft, or Nintendo, or whatever), how about just skipping that article?

I think what the regulators and lawsuit-happy folks are failing to remember is the simple fact that music tracks are not a life staple. If you don't like the price of songs at one particular store, buy your songs elsewhere. If you don't like the DRM scheme attached to one DMP, buy another.

This seems simple enough to me.

It's not like Apple is holding a gun to anyone's head and ordering them to buy DRM-laden tracks at an inflated price. Music is entertainment... An optional part of life. If Apple is teh suXXor in your country (or in your opinion), vote with your dollar and buy your stuff elsewhere.

Ya know what? There are sites that p!ss me off. Drudge, Fox "News," etc. Instead of visiting them every day and making a vein on my neck bulge, I just don't visit those sites. It's really pretty simple.

There are dozens of places that blog TV. Find another one. If none of them suit you, start your own.

I don't get people who are afraid of the future... Afraid of change. You're a journalist. Do you still type on an I.B.M. Selectric and use correction strips? No. Of course not. The word processor features of your computer make your job easier and make you more efficient.

I'm nearly 40. I most definitely remember when "albums" used to come with art and liner notes and take up several dusty shelves at home. I absolutely love that I can carry around every song I've ever owned in something the size of a pack of a deck of cards. It's called progress.

Do you also prefer clumsy paper maps to the convenience of a GPS? What about dirty payphones outside of shady convenience stores instead of your cellphone?
