Hackers embed flashing animations on epilepsy support forum {Engadget}
Mar 30th 2008 10:34PM These people calling themselves "Anonymous" don't speak for the rest of Partyvan.
They're just little script kiddies who are complete losers in real life.
Take Substantia for example (which is from Ebaums World, not Partyvan), on ED they claim to practise in Ninjitsu and partake in the "relaxation benefits of cannabis".
In other words: Naruto fans that sell drugs for a living.
Padded lampposts in London not really being tested {Engadget}
Mar 17th 2008 8:18PM And that's a rather big problem in London.
There are too many deaths caused on the road right by my house. Only recently they bothered putting up traffic lights.

Mar 9th 2008 11:49PM I'm sorry.. I read that as The Rapist.
.. I shall go hang my head in shame.

Mar 5th 2008 11:13PM I don't know what you're talking about, after I've had these 'speed holes' in place, my car definitely goes faster.
Europe getting 40GB PS3 bundles packing Gran Turismo, Blu-ray movies {Engadget}
Feb 28th 2008 3:18PM The thing I don't get is, most people were bashing the PS3 due to the games lacking greatly, and how Blu Ray just wasn't as necessary for gaming as Sony put it out to be.
Now that the PS3 is getting alright sales, if it's just for a Blu Ray player that can play games, I don't see what the fuss is. Isn't this what everyone wanted in the first place?
Sure the PS3 is losing exclusives left and right, who cares. Blu Ray has won the HD format wars, and the PS3 is a cheap player (It also plays games..).
Microsoft holding off on HD DVD reaction, thinks "games" sell consoles {Engadget}
Feb 18th 2008 2:17PM There's no reason for the 360 to use 'any' HD format for games, yet.
No video game that is on a HD medium (like on the PS3) shows any noticable improvements. The main reason why the 360 is more popular is due to the game content, and the experience on Live. Blu Ray is unnecessary for gaming.
Dell to release tri-core AMD business machine? {Engadget}
Feb 17th 2008 8:16PM Because we all know that companies buy machines by the bulk to overclock, right?

Nintendo estimates it lost $975m worldwide in 2007 due to piracy {Engadget}
Feb 15th 2008 7:31AM Being a part of Friendcodes.com (recently left as Chat Admin), it's very easy to understand that piracy has affected Nintendo greatly. Probably not as big as they claim, but rather big instead. Consider that I know a big load of children and early teens are into using methods to pirate DS games, and quite a few into Wii piracy.
The percentage is higher than most people would like to think.
Playable Paper Super Mario... no really, he's made of paper {Engadget}
Feb 7th 2008 5:59PM I'd agree with that, if I hadn't already spent 5 minutes explaining how to play Mario Bros. 1 to someone.
I don't have much faith in the 'general public of gamers', but it was fun watching someone fall down over and over whilst yelling "WOW THIS IS FUN!!".
CSM's Ultimate Gaming rig is pretty potent, cheap... in the UK {Engadget}
Jan 23rd 2008 9:47AM Actually, here in the UK, if you're building your computer, you can get a pretty decent gaming rig for pretty cheap.
For around £500, it's easy to build a decent gaming rig with 500GB SATA HDD, 2GB DDR2 RAM and an 8800GT. Also, it all depends on where you're looking for your 'gadgets'. For example, I got a Griffin iTrip from Amazon for £5 including shipping, £15 cheaper than what it was going for at any High Street shop at the time.
