I agree that the iPhone is extremely expensive as it isn't subsidised, however to say "no one is buying it" is a bit extreme. On what retail figures are you basing that statement?
Haven't Anne Summers been selling these for years?
Now why can't Apple let me have some AV options like this on my iMac? I have a glorious 24" screen AND I CANT CONNECT A BLASTED HD SOURCE TO IT!!!

@ Wilder K Wight

I completely agree, you took the words out of my mouth.

Yeah I was gonna say that too. The UK being smaller, none of us are really THAT far from the capital so a london event would be great
What i find interesting is that if you look at a lot of these knock offs on eBay, or come to that any of the smart phones produced in China, features like duel sim, decent cameras and flash are pretty much standard. The price is also very reasonable so why can't we see some devices with these features from 'mainstream' manufacturers like HTC, iMate, etc...
LOL Adam.

Although I have to say the last time I used a parking meter somebody forgot their change so it gave me an extra £1.50 back!

Kudos Engadget, Its really nice for us British readers to see 'localized' gadget news for the UK.

I live just next door in West Sussex, maybe we'll see these machines fairly soon....

I wondered what all the building wirk at goodwood was for. I live about two miles away and theres been a lot of activity there recently.

Living so close, we see a lot of them. I drove past the new coupe the other day, a blue one. was beautiful, though it completely dwarfed my citroen 2cv!

What I really want is a 10" MacBook, I'm keen on portability, not power!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
