I am a hovercraft, and my tank is full of eels.
Somehow I remember the concept version being a much cooler looking car. Now, meh.
Back in 2000 I asked my BMW dealer to get me a 540i wagon with nav and the sport pack. He did managed to find one, and it was black on black and stuffed with options. They tell me they had at least 2 people pleading to buy the car before I picked it up. My wife used to get all sorts of guys telling her "Nice Car" when she drove it, but to her it was just a "station wagon".

I eventually traded that for an X5 4.6I that I still drive today, but if I could get my hands on an M5 wagon I'd drive that forever.

BMW!! You have one guaranteed sale of an M5 wagon if you bring them here!! I only need one.
I think the family tree is the biggest problem with the car. These days, the family tree is centered around the 911. The Cayman got flack because it looked too much like a 911 for 911 owners. It also isn't allowed to be faster than the 911. There are 15 different 911's on the Porsche US web site, but only 2 Cayman and 2 Boxter. I wonder what it would look like if we made a Cayman Turbo, GT2, and GT3 models.

Anyway, the problem with the Panamera is that Porsche decided that it had to look like a 911. The profile is pure elongated 911, the tail, and even the front looks like a Carrera S.

Porsche could have tried something new and original, but risky, In the end, whats more risky? A new look, or trying to sell the Panamera?
I recently head that someone took the limiter off of the M5 Touring and it was able to run over 200 MPH. I'd buy one in a heartbeat, but Noooo! Not for the USA.

If anyone knows how I can grey market one over here, legally, send me an e-mail.
Personally, I'm waiting for the first refresh to see if GM can do better on the dash. Though I'm not holding my breath. I'm also very interested to see what the tuners can do with the car. I'd love to see a nice turbo on the V6 and some real handling bits thrown in for good measure. After all, the GT-R can do some amazing things with a V6.
RPN for me. I wana see an 11C.
I'm always willing to concede that an in person view can be enlightening, but "looks petter in real life" always seems to be the "has a great personality" of the automotive world.

So far, I can only comment on what I can see, and after hundreds of photos on line and in the magazines, I'm still coming to the same conclusion.
Yea, I have to vote with the "ugly" crowd. I think that the designers were just too married to the traditional 911 styling, and the result is a big, ugly car.

They should be able to produce a nice looking car, but they need to throw the current book away.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
