AT&T WiFi access now listed as "included" with iPhone {Engadget}

May 8th 2008 4:17PM Well, I get the small print for unlimited states it's capped. If you're doing 2gb of youtube video's a month on your phone - kudo's to having more time to waste than most of us :)

As for the SMS being capped... I still can't get my head around it. SMS /is/ data. I understand they're making money off of it per message, but if I emailed (using only slightly more bandwidth) they lose that revenue.

Basically - I'm just venting because I think it's dumb and it annoys me. Bare with me here...

Father and child survive Ferrari crash {Autoblog}

Jan 31st 2008 3:58PM The cars are built to disintegrate. The energy of the impact dissipates as it's absorbed and shed by the various crumple zones in the car. Ferrari's are built more like F1/indy cars and are likely safer (from a crash/impact stand-point) than most of the other cars on the road.

Regardless, they're both lucky to be alive with the car looking the way it does.

Angry drivers torching traffic cameras in England {Engadget}

Dec 27th 2007 4:00PM Speak for yourself. Redflex traffic systems (and others) have cameras installed at intersections all over the U.S. - I'm in Toledo and we have over 20 of them at various locations.

The real problem is that people accustomed to a 4 second yellow, now screech to a sudden stop when they realize the revenue generating (for Redflex) cameras have also opted to modify the yellow times to the state/city minimum time.

I believe we (Toledo) only get about 10% of the revenue. The cameras end up being fodder used to promote someone for relection. IMHO
