Err, how exactly does your thingy compare to the Audio 2 DJ ? Above is a high quality external sound card with 2 outputs. That thing you linked to is some sort of usb to jack convertor, that also has a mic jack input...
Never seen that ps3 logo type before, and it would be very strange if they changed it just for a slimmer model. Changing the logo after a product release is usually a no go in branding/marketing land, even though it is a slimmer model. So I'm still not convinced.
Changes that "regular" users would make (such as installing and removing programs etc), are easier to make on ubuntu then windows in my opinion. And for almost any regular setting, there is an app that can help you with it. Its when a poweruser want something special, things get a little tricky. For my girlfriend who just wants to check her email and IM a bit, I think it's actually more user friendly.
Last time I checked, Ubuntu was more user friendly then Windows...
Here in the Netherlands the ps2's price dropped a couple of days ago to 100 euro at some retailers, so there could well be a US price drop.
Oh my god! youre right! it's just like the iPhone!

Exept that it's silver/metallic, has different proportions, has three buttons on the front, a clearly visible camera, and a totally different OS...

But other then that, I mean, they copied the signal indicator, the speaker and mic to make calls, a rounded shape, the battery indicator and probably the clock, as well as the overall ability to make phone calls.
It required an extra chip (Emotion Engine chip). They left it out to supress costs and because the emulation in the early models (that do have the chip) was far from perfect.

You can't expect full backward compatibility from a brand new platform with way different hardware in my opinion.
45nm chips are becoming the new standard, thus getting mass produced, thus old 65nm chips will be produced less --> result 45nm are cheaper. 45nm practically means lower power consumption while maintaining the same performance.
How to turn the ps3 into a success in 3 steps:

- Make it $700
- Add 4 GB of internal memory
- Open up hardware for any other OS loaded on the ps3

Result: $750 dollar octocore, georgeos looking pc with state of the art graphical ability's.
Well, since the first picture that leaked the phone was taken from a dutch advertisment from a telecom retailer, it will probably be introduced in the Netherlands next month as well (advertisment said March). I hope the interface will be based on the embedded version of Adobe Flash, just like the Viewty. They should speed it up a little though.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
