Zivio Boom offers 10-hours of talk... before it breaks {Engadget}

Aug 12th 2008 9:21AM About Frickin' Time! I have been waiting to buy a new BT headset since, as it turns out I really only need it when I am cruising down the interstate when the top is down. Not that I really want to talk to someone when I am driving, but it would be nice to have the choice. A boom mic is certainly a necessity with a convertible.

U.S. Army declares Arizona car dealer a no-go zone {Autoblog}

Aug 11th 2008 2:49PM Wow, you would think one might choose their enemies a little more carefully

VIDEO: Sam Hubinette cuts it real close {Autoblog}

Aug 8th 2008 11:30PM The cameraman was watching that through a viewfinder to boot. hence the delayed reaction. But certainly a reaction.

Transformers mystery car revealed as Corvette Centennial Design Concept {Autoblog}

Aug 7th 2008 3:48PM My thought exactly! But go figure, A geek is only as good as their input. And if all they know is what they can search for on Google... Probably means they need to unplug from the computer for at least 4 hours a day. Seeing as this is a car sight, and posting on a corvette, I would recommend actually driving one sometime.

Analyst says Motorola "would be lucky" to get $500 million {Engadget}

Jul 10th 2008 7:47PM Please note this is not the entire company for sale. Just the Handset Division. Yes, it is probably worth more than $500 million, but they have not produced much in the last few years.

EasyChair WorkStation solves that whole "get out of bed" dilemma {Engadget}

Jun 27th 2008 1:30PM Laziness???
I would have killed for this kind of set-up when my father was bed-ridden while loosing his fight with Cancer. The Laptop would get hot, and make him cranky, and when he was really bad the weight of the laptop would bruise him easily.

Hopefully inventions such as these will help future sons, assist their father's while they still have them.

Collect calls from prison to cellphones now possible, vast number changes expected {Engadget}

May 8th 2008 12:12PM this sucks! I have changed my VOIP Number 4 times because I kept getting collect calls from complete strangers begging me to "call their woman" to get to the "big House" and bail them out.

It is bad enough that I get the call, but it really got to me that I would get them at 7am on Sunday Mornings. I work 5 days a week and go to school all days on Saturdays. The lasting thing I want on Sunday Morning is some outraged prisoner telling me what I should do for them.

How-to guide repurposes phone jack as hidden storage portal {Engadget}

May 8th 2008 10:48AM HE is just re purposing the 4 wire bus. Sure a lot of work, but not exactly all that complicated. Considering all the open wall space, and how most phone jacks in modern construction are near an outlet, one could easily upgrade the 4GB thumb drive for a more substantial drive.
From the header, I thought I was accessing a drive via the modem port of the computer, which would be a slow connection, but a fun hack. My only other questions is should he leave the existing phone wires engaged? I would think, especially if they employ DSL or have more than 2 lines routed to the house, the cross talk especially while he is storing and accessing his pron, might be a problem.

Man moons speed camera, fine won't be so funny {Autoblog}

May 7th 2008 1:32PM That is the primary thing that pissed me off in Too Fast Too Furious. After working with OnStar, specially the GPS Systems, there is a very easy way to block GPS, it is called "Remove the Antenna"

Or if you have financial backing, hook up a GPS Similulator, and point it to the South Pole, or my personal favorite , invert the coordinates.
