"wireless adapters weren't the only new gear Buffalo loosed today" - write it out 10 times until you get it correct.
Moores law would not apply in this case because it is concerned with the number of transistors squeezed into an integrated circuit, and has absolutely nothing to do with speeds. But of course, you knew that.
Natural selection comes from differences in survival and reproduction. Differential mortality is the survival rate of individuals to their reproductive age. Differential fertility is the total genetic contribution to the next generation. Note that, whereas mutations and genetic drift are random, natural selection is not, as it preferentially selects for different mutations based on differential fitnesses. For example, rolling dice is random, but always picking the higher number on two rolled dice is not random. The
evolution is not random, the mutations that occur, that are acted on by selection pressures are random. To describe evolution itself betrays it as a process, because evolution acts beautifully so organisms can adapt to their constantly changing environments.

Evolution does not have a 'motive' but it is not random.
Derek, there is more proof for evolution that there is for a supreme being creating the world in 6 days, then taking a break. Words in a book, are not proof without corroboration, of which there is none.

as regards to proof I think this might help

evolution is not a random process! idiot
Hurray, an article regarding the UK that doesn't display any of the normal ignorance or Americo-centric bigotry. Considering we are the US staunchest allies, it seems a shame that many seem to know so little about us.
Engadget editors: as a note I would like to say that I come from the UK (Winchester in fact) and i have not used the word bloke; ever. Neither has most of the population under 30, the word "guy" is used almost ubiquitously by most. Also once again England is not the UK, Britain is. England is one of the four countries (states if you like), that makes up the UK. Just like the states that make up the US each has slightly different laws, different systems of government (Scotland has it's own parliament, Wales an "assembly" and England it's own parliament, with varying levels of control over each.

You would probably be insulted if I thought that New York was the capital of the US, and this is no different, get your facts right please, or if you cannot do that please stop purporting to be intelligent people.
if you think it is expensive in the US you should see the price in the UK. $249 US compared to around £230 in the UK (~$450) what a stupid rip-off
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
