Gigantor 15-inch digital photo frame brings the value {Engadget}

Aug 8th 2007 9:48PM I'd like to second that - I have a 10.4 inch LCD digital photo frame that I got from here:

http://www.digivista.com.au/

It has 640x480 resolution (VGA) but even with that relatively low res, you still can't see pixels on the photos - even if you stare hard and up-close...

Also, its power usage is 10W, much lower than a standard table lamp as someone commented above...

Jul 18th 2007 12:29AM You have to congratulate Brad for helping a customer out on a third party website's comment forum! Well done - maybe add that info to your MediaStreet website too?

Samsung digital picture frame stores pics, movies, music {Engadget}

Jul 17th 2007 11:20PM 800x400 seems like a strange resolution (i.e. 2:1 aspect ratio) sure its not 800x600 ??
Of all the digi-frames I've seen, they usually come in either 16:9, 3:2 or 4:3 aspect ratio.

Pandigital frames offer Bluetooth, WiFi, battery packs {Engadget}

Jul 11th 2007 4:35AM In my opinion batteries aren't a good idea, since generally digital photo frames are extremely low users of power anyway ... the average 10 inch product for example only uses about 12 watts. I think it would be more economical to use mains powered versions of these products than batteries...
The only advantage of battery power of course is that they are more portable.

PAL markets to see PS3 price drop on July 12th? {Engadget}

Jul 11th 2007 4:18AM Does anyone know the wholesale cost of the PS3 to the retailer? Because Australian consumer laws forbid retail price fixing it seems unusual that there hasn't been anyone discounting the units below $999 yet... although then again if the demand is there, then why would they...

Belkin takes USB hubs to the next level {Engadget}

Jul 10th 2007 11:26PM I don't get why you need a complicated swivel design on a simple USB hub - I mean can't your cables be bent around to suit, unless its like a 1 inch long cable or something...

Aluratek's 10.5-inch ADMPF110 digiframe does HD movies, too {Engadget}

Jul 10th 2007 11:11PM 350x260 resolution? surely not - that's possibly one of their 7 inch models. Most 10 inch models are 640x480 like this one for example...

Blue&Me-equipped Fiat 500 to hit Europe this year {Engadget}

Jul 10th 2007 10:53PM Nice look ;-) ... but how many people carry their music around with them on a portable USB drive? wouldn't an iPod / headphone input to the system be sufficient?

Cheers,
Henry
