Jul 24th 2008 10:42AM my fiance and i are currently shooting a full length indy film on a Red One and let me just say that hard-drive based recording is the way to go... of course you don't have much choice when 1 hour of footage is more and a gig.

Jul 2nd 2008 12:06PM i had the same problem and fixed mine using a q-tip that had 90% of the cotton removed from the tip. i dipped it in a small amount of rubbing alcohol and then used it to clean the inside of the headphone jack. the firstime i did this a very large chunk of lint came out. so, for all of those that don't have a can of compressed air lying around, feel free to use a shorn q-tip.

Jul 2nd 2008 12:01PM this has to be one of the most ridiculous examples of wealth mismanagement i have every heard of. if you are spending $5million+ on a liscence plate to put on a car, your priorities in life are a bit screwed up. There are far better things to spend money on, like more cars, boats, planes etc... not to say that donating some money to charity wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Jun 24th 2008 1:05PM my brother was an audio engineer that worked on this film (they wrapped up the audio work a few weeks ago) and he said that it's good enough that he'll go out and see it in the theaters even though he's already seen it 500+ times. He recommended the IMAX version. Said the picture and sound would just blow me away...
