What jump? There is no "jump". There is never a "jump". Is this some kind of wishful thinking on the part of some bloggers?
It's weird how people think they've "heard way too much" Texas. I think it's a matter of selective observation: whenever news does come out of Texas people register it in their "News from Texas" memory; whenever news comes from anyplace else, they register it in their "Not Really Important" memory. The end result is a huge store of annoying stories from Texas, and the rest of the world gets off scott free, except for Florida and Germany.


This information has been available for a long time. Shortly after 9/11, I worked on some software to work with a data feed from the FCC and plot the courses of aircraft.

Google has nothing to do with tracking the flights, they are just providing access to services others have already created.

"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
