How would you change MSI's Wind? {Engadget}

Jul 25th 2008 6:35PM Is it "Wind" as in "The wind was blowing hard", or "wind" as in "I wind the rope around the poll"?

I thought it was Wind as in moving air, but on G4, Kevin Pereira says the other kind of wind...

Rumor: Guitar Hero World Tour full set list {Joystiq}

Jul 24th 2008 3:01PM I'm still waiting for a Green Day song.

Anything off of Dookie would be good, Armatage Shanks would be fun, and American Idiot would be a decent song.

Certain Nintendo controllers face retail ban {Joystiq}

Jul 22nd 2008 4:03PM Joke's on Anascape. I'd refuse to buy an Anascape controller just for this stupid crap. I'm willing to bet many people feel the same.

I only buy First party accessories, anyway.

The Political Game: E3 is dead {Joystiq}

Jul 18th 2008 11:51PM Completely agree. Last year was the last good year for me. I was never more excited than last year when suddenly a live band starts to play the Halo theme. The whole Microsoft keynote, I waited for that new information about Halo 3. The other games were just an amazing bonus. Watching Moore play Rock Band was amazing, but when that Halo trailer came on, I couldn't stop staring (I had both the TV and the Internet stream up, so I didn't miss any of it). I was mesmerized.

This year? Nothing but disappointment. I didn't see any games I especially wanted, other than Gears 2, but even that seemed lack-luster. Final Fantasy? Who cares. If I had wanted to play Final Fantasy, I would have bought a PS2 a long time ago. The dashboard redesign was a big disappointment. Avatars? Come on, Microsoft, that doesn't appeal to your core audience.

The only thing I was truly excited about? The counter on Bungie.net. I was waiting, I was going to go to bed early so that I could see the announcement as soon as it popped up at 7:07:07. What happened? Microsoft cancels the announcement.

Possibly the worst E3 I've ever seen. Previous years I tuned in to G4's coverage nonstop. This year? I watch the Microsoft keynote, sped through Nintendo's, and half watched the Sony announcement. The on-the-floor coverage? Yeah right. The games are boring, the interviews are boring, and there were no real "WOW!!" announcements. Final Fantasy is hardly a huge announcement in my book.

Video walkthrough: the new Xbox 360 Dashboard {Joystiq}

Jul 16th 2008 3:32PM Also, replacing friends list with a cluster-fuck of avatars is never good. Stupidest thing I've ever seen.

Video walkthrough: the new Xbox 360 Dashboard {Joystiq}

Jul 16th 2008 3:29PM It alienates me because I feel like the redesign is aimed squarely at younger, casual gamers. I like functionality, not beauty. If it is aimed at everyone who bought the Wii for its cute, family friendly image, it obviously isn't aimed at the user who wants their tasks done quickly and effectively. Ever used the Wii's channel system? I hate it. It's horribly slow and when you fill up more than one page it becomes very annoying to navigate.

Jul 16th 2008 2:56PM Very disappointing.
This is going to alienate all of its current users who love the blades interface, myself included.

If these updates weren't mandatory to play online, I wouldn't update.

Why Microsoft? WHY? I love my blades. I love my gamerpics. I love my themes. I love my software. Why do you have to get rid of the best part of the Xbox? The software was what was so strong, because it certainly wasn't the hardware.

Jul 16th 2008 10:30AM What about those TPS reports?

E308: Mattrick confirms that Bungie is developing new Halo game {Xbox 360 Fanboy}

Jul 16th 2008 10:29AM Last night I went to bed rather sad that the announcement was cancelled. I was really hoping I would hear about an addition to my favorite game series of all time.

I guess I got what I wanted. I just woke up about an hour ago, and this has already made my day.

E308: Theories mount on possible Bungie announcement {Xbox 360 Fanboy}

Jul 15th 2008 3:07PM Why? Bungie is an independent developer now. I don't remember seeing Madden at Microsoft's keynote because EA has its own press conference. Bungie can do things the way it wants to now.

The Superintendent is probably a metaphor for something. I doubt we'll see a game based on a square dude with a broom.
