F1 is in 720p Up Convert from 720x576 anamorphic. looks much better than the SD stream. Speed's overlays are 720p. PAL always had so much more resolution that the up convert actually helps for us in the states. looks just a tad worst than fox nascar.
Speed HD has F1 Qualifying from China at 9 est.
Apple 17" MBP 2.6Ghz (base) = $2799
HP Compaq 8710w Mobile Workstation KA451UA#ABA (base/non-customizable) (Slower Ram on only 2GB, same screen res but not led bl, same cpu, vista biz,) = $3149
Ummm Yeah. I don't know, I think the PC is cheaper than a mac? hahahahahahahahahaha.
Even with the 2.93 Ghz Cpu the mac is cheaper, and better at $3099.
You do realize that MSFT paid this actor to buy a PC. If MSFT gave me a grand to buy a PC I would, and then install OpenSolaris on it and run a ZFS2 back up system for my mac cluster. The REAL TRUTH is that MSFT must pay people to buy there shitty OEM computers. MSFT spent 60 Billion winning contracts in China, and then China installed Linux when MSFT wanted their monies back China laughed. MSFT spent 30 billion to crush the XOPC. Just saying, if msft wanted me to buy a PC, they would have to pay me.
That's Mr. Mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio... to you.
Save up your dough. It's not worth spending on a "HD" cam that's not HD. That being said. only a 3 chip 4:4:4 color space 1920x1080 camera can be called HD. The term is too over used. even the Red One is not 1080 at 4:4:4 (it's only 667 pixels wide full color 4:4:4 [4000/6 as it only has 1 in 3 red and 1 in 3 blue photosites] ). So your down to the sony F900 witch is only going for $20K on ebay with out a lens (about 100K for a good 20x). if you have a pinch more to spend the HDC1500L444 at 100K (no lens) is as good as it gets in real resolution. There are 4:2:2 options out there but they are only 810x1080 full color. In a 1 chip camera you'd need 12K sensor to match the true resolution avalible with a proper 3 chip 444 camera. Remember, if it's good enough for george lucas, its good enough for you.
Yes, If the drobo its self dies, you just power down, remove the drives (order is not important), get a new drobo, format it before adding the drives, power it down, add the drives to the new drobo, and fire it up. All the data is back and running. I do this all the time as I have a drobo at work and one at home and i just move the drives between the two. A note, don't install the drives with the drobo on or it will reformat them.
I'd have to say get a second PS3. I have 3 360s (living room w/ hd-dvd, bedroom, office via VGA adapter) and 2 ps3s (living room, and BR). Between them I can not only stream media where ever i want but don't have to worry about what game or disk i want to watch. Another option is to get a cheap DVD player for the BR, and wire in an extra HDMI, TOSlink if needed, ethernet, and power cable, and save a space for the PS3 in your bedroom. it only takes a minute to unhook and rehook a PS3 (i did this for 6 months before i bough the second ps3).
I taught the guy that shot the youtube hit spot that lead to this ad.

...And "Some Assembly Required" at 10PM on DISHD?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
