Someone has likely mentioned this already as there are well over 100 comments now, but I'll throw my two cents in.... The 3 year mark on the chart is a "projection", not an actual measured data point... Caveat Emptor
I don't get it... If you've fallen asleep, you're not going to notice the shades fogging over....
OK, this is a MAJOR waste of time. Not worth buying at all if it isn't configured to accept both Sirius and XM signals. The merger makes this unit D.O.A. in my opinion.
So I'm wondering how much more the Samsung products will cost to purchase now (in order to offset this altruistic return program)? ;-)
Yeah, can confirm Cris commented earlier... Did set up an 'in-home' repair. Will be a first for me! Didn't know Sony had laptop repair folks in my area...

The 2-year extended is great, except that I already purchased a 3 year extended warranty from Microcenter (after the 1st year was up from Manufacturer).... Damn!
This thing probably wouldn't stand a chance in our market....not with the proprietary codec/licensure issues and stiff competition...IMHO...
Sorry, I've seen the shiz that passes for electronica in Shenzhen, China.... It's a guaranteed piece-o-crap to be sure. Shenzhen's all about shoddy imitations. Has anyone seen the device in the 'wild' yet?
Aytunc....

I get to see those 60 year old machines daily... And I'll bet anything that those DRE devices are NOT running Vista.... Come on... What healthcare companies do you know that have implemented Vista? Yet damn near all of the software for healthcare out there (including hospital-wide med info systems) runs under XP... Those 60 year old machines don't integrate into anything, constantly false alarm, and use ancient wireless tech that a flippin' microwave can send into a downward spiral.... And, not sure what sort of demographic you see (if you're in healthcare), but how many times is someone hooked up to an EKG BEFORE a myocardial infarction?!
What makes everyone think that the 20 year old equipment (and older in some places) that is still in use now in many hospitals/institutions throughout the world isn't anymore likely to have a critical problem when you 'need' it? By the way folks... This thing is an EKG...NOT a defribrillator. If it stops working, they just hook up another one.... It's not keeping you alive.... It's just reading the rhythm of your heart...not providing therapy...
Holy crap! I read through all of those posts and the very last one finally mentions what I was thinking the whole damn time! With those 100+ plus some un-boxing photos no one thought to put a hand or some other object in at least ONE of those photos in order to get an idea of the SIZE of this thing?!?!? Considering that seems to be a major sticking point with folks here, one would think that someone whould have thought of that....
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
