I just can't believe that it will not sync PODcasts over wifi! This is... UNBELIEVABLE! I have the 2G Touch.
I'm in for a pair. I currently use Shure E2Cs and love them. The only grip about them is that the cables are stiff, and the casing has cracked in a couple of places. I have mended them by thinly coating with JB-Weld and cross-wrapping with a light nylon thread. They still SOUND great.

About the Quad-A battery: I have a LED pencil light purchased off the Snap-on truck that uses 3 of them. The light is no thicker than a standard Bic-pen, but really lights up the night.

Did you know: If you carefully peel apart the metal case of a standard 9v battery you can get 6 AAAA batteries out of it? Pretty slick. they are only a tiny smidge of a hair shorter, but would work very well in this device, I would guess. The 'harvested' AAAA don't work quite as well in my flashlight because you have to stack three of them. You get 3X the shortness, and it adds up to the need for a small piece of metal to make up the difference.

Here's a link to a video of the trick: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/360955/9_volt_battery_hack_youll_be_surprised/

What is it with the lack of bluetooth mice? I have a computer with bluetooth (most have BT). Why would I need to be burdened with another dongle? The mouse I use now is an EBAY special Microsoft BT Explorer. Something they don't even offer by itself!

GIVE ME MORE CHOICE for BT MICE!
"Oh sure, we've come across oodles of cameras designed to be mounted on or around one's noggin..."

I just searched back through 20 pages of "weables" and didn't see a single other "noggin" type camera. There is only one entry under "helmetcamera". If that's "oodles", I'm standing in molten silver.

I've been looking for a "noggin" cam that won't break the bank for shooting sports.

I'd have to declare it my birthday were I to win!!
I SOOOOO wanted this on the first give-away! I had a POS timex with a really stinky cloth band. I've got a pretty nice timex now, but this would be so much better!
I have really been needing to replace the $19.95 OD green plastic Timex which my wife sent to me in Iraq. It, in turn, was sent to replace a slightly nicer Timex that quit when introduced to blowing sand.
I own a laptop for one reason: To take my computer with me.
My first laptop was a Toshiba Tecra 800. It was black, boxy, and worked great. My second was a Toshiba Satellite. It was shiny, blue and sexy. It worked for crap.
My first IBM was a T42 which has been with me for 3+ years now. It has survived trips to 4 continents, to include 2 tours in Iraq. I am presently in the market for a new thinkpad, since mine is just getting too dated to run the latest stuff. Still works great, though. It hasn't worn out, it's just aged gracefully.
Pretty sure that it's a transmiter. so you can listen on the car radio.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
