zune might not die in 6, but vista surely will

give a year or two, we'll see
while the pricing isn't that pretty, they do deserve some recognition and hands up for all others to follow: give consumer the choice of NO Operating system, $0.00
give it to me
how about this, my machine runs xp for past 3 years, with a pentium ultra low voltage 733, 512mb ram, 80gb hd space. It runs smoothly through the years, burning cds, watching dvds, processing documents and all that, very easily. Then I tried the VISTA, where after I boot up it jacked up 500MB of RAM, giving me the suggestion add on more memory. My hard drive after clean installation lost 8GB of hd space, now I can open documents, not able to burn CDs because software won't work with vista, and can't watch dvd because limited resources.

What would you prefer? A blingbling operating sytem does nothing but blings, hog up on system resources; or a versitle system lets me do all I want it to do ? and by the way I haven't add the overall cost yet.
I was just thinking about "How to reduce disk space used by not using Windows Vista system"

seriously, xp does everything better than vista

they they ?

seriously, proof read it before posting anything silly up here
we are at "ignoring vista" stage, bitching is the things of past.

Kahni, if a operating system sucked from start up, we, the user have the right to choose not using it. Remember that, dont get brain washed.
im with you on this one, pal; but on the other hand, where vista's famous for hogging down system resources and jack up tons of hard drive spaces, means the vista capable machinese are actually quite powerful to carry out such monster os, graphic-wise, throughput performance-wise. so it might not be so bad to get one that has the vista sticker on it...

cause you know, first thing i do with new laptop is format the hard drive no matter what it came with
All your base are belong to us.

theres never a better time to say this!
you just got Gizmondoed, steve..

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
