My MBP from June 2007 started having this problem shortly after the warranty expired. Here's a picture of the desktop doing a Picasso impersination:http://www.notebooks.com/2008/10/10/apple-to-replace-faulty-nvidia-gpus-in-macbook-pros/
I played with one of these for about a week and reviewed it here:

These things are pretty slow, but the form factor is much better than having a USB thumbdrive hanging off the side of your computer while you're on the move.

I saw less than 2MB/sec writes!

The price is right on these, but $649 will only get you a wimpy AMD Sempron proc. They've brought over some of the security features from last years high-end biz notebooks to this budget line.

Full specs are here: http://www.notebooks.com/?p=556
Good to see Gateway's putting their Tablets on a diet. Their current line is reallllly bulky.
It seems like a fair percentage of users are getting rapid replacements at Apple stores. This is yet another good reason for computer companies to have a brick and mortar store.

Saw these bags at CES and they were pretty cool if you're a snowboarder or hiker that still wants to be connected to your gadgets. Here's a video of a Skullcandy rep showing off a similar model-

I checked out the R400 at CES and think the best feature is the wireless docking option. But when I played with it, the R400 didn't feel like a $3k+ machine. The live alerts LCD is really tiny, with room for only a few characters. There's a video demo of the R400 here: http://www.notebooks.com/?p=420
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
