What a shameless Carlin plug and I love his standup. One of the best of all time!
I want a 360, I want a Wii, I want a PS3, but I don't need one. I have to pay those wonderful things called bills, like rent, power, heat, and phone.

As much as it was not nice the joke that was played, that should not entitle someone to something. People have been playing pranks in different forms, for many years, right or wrong. The difference with this one is that it was filmed and upped to utube.

It is sad, in some respects, that I see homeless people in places that I volunteer at that say they cannot afford food or housing but have 1-2 PSP, many games, and more CDs than I can afford in the last 5 years combined. I do not know how they were received, so I choose not to judge, but rather than give them money I choose to donate my time.

I hope that the family has learned their lesson as it makes them look bad. But, I also hope that rather than sensationalizing this incident, that companies choose to give the money and time and supplies to those people that truly need the assistance, not to people that have the 5 seconds of fame.
The DVD playback has been announced for late 2007. Check www.nintendo.com for more information. The system will cost more than the current system.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
