Why are people pissed at Netflix? Letters should be going to Apple too. How the hell is Netflix going to provide anything for the Mac if they need DRM (at the MPAA's demand I'm sure)?
Wii. Maybe an Xbox 360, but unlikely.
I'm a little worried about all the rollouts of the network's own streaming. ABC has seen it as a huge success it seems, and even gives it widescreen versions of Lost. Sure, no full screen, but they are giving it availability before iTunes.

I have a season pass to Heroes... I think it's a great new show, hence why I went ahead w/ the season pass (I'm sort of torn by the idea, but that's for another time). I have yet to see it show up in iTunes. It's somewhat fustrating because you know NBC can have it ready, but they want to push their online streaming content.
@p-diddy

that's exactly right. I would be fine w/ iTunes restriction if they just gave us a higher quality rip. I'd ask for lossless, but I know that won't ever happen.

I'm not too worried about apple tanking, mainly because someone out there will find a way to strip the DRM... so I won't be left out in the dark (ok, that's hopeful thinking, but I'm sure it's possible).
glorified gamecube or not, it is still more expensive to produce. Tack on the fact it's R&D for the wiimote, and I'd say $200 is a fair pricepoint for the console+game to make a huge killing.

but nintendo is a company. their aim here is to attract non-gamers and broaden their userbase. these people don't care about the technical facts of it being a glorified gamecube (granted, it's still a ~2x speed increase, no? plus it's easy to develop for). and simply put, nintendo can't afford NOT to attempt to profit.

this push for HD content is a still a little too new I think. Sony has commented that online distribution is the future... so why do I need a bluray drive now? to push it, that's why.

but all the argument over which console will win, what to buy.. it's all just over the top now. just get whatever the hell is fun and *worth* it to you. If HD now is your goal, go grab a ps3. If you're into something new, hit up nintendo. online gaming fun, go buy an xbox.
dSLR doesn't fit in your pocket.

and to all the "no manual settings" folks.. this is geared at people who don't care about that. And frankly, I have my dSLR for that.

on the same note tho, I've made the mistake of paying too much for an ultra compact because I wanted it to fit in my pocket comfortably. just wait for it to knock itself down in price
LOST! c'mon season 3!
hrm... i can't seem to get reverse sync to work. I have my ipod mini set to sync only certain playlists at home. I go to work, and I can pull purchased songs off the ipod, but can't put songs on that I purchased at work.

is that possible? I'm getting the sense that it will one way sync on anything but your primary machine?
20x, woohoo. I want to seem some quality media first. Something that you can actually use for a long term backup.
so... how much...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
