Dumb question time...

How does one output audio to the HDMI connection as well as video?

Is there a Mini DVI + USB Audio to HDMI adapter? I know there is one for Display Port, but my Macbook is older and has Mini DVI.

Any help would be great. :)
I know, I'll be hated for it... but I do like my iPhone so far.

But really, in reality, technology has gotten to the point that there are an incredible amount of quality options out there. It's really quite wonderful. Many many good choices. The competition among companies has truly benefited the consumer's lives.

Viva Technology! :D
I just picked up the Griffin AutoPilot, with aux input. It's built for iPods, but works fine with the iPhone. The iPhone will say the product is not built for it, and give you an option to turn the phone into Airline mode (read: iPod), just click no and be on your way.

I don't understand all the hate. Yes some people are fanatical about it, there are people who are fanatical about any "popular" device that comes out. Is the phone good? Honestly, of course it is, its got some great features. Is it perfect? Nope. Not by a long shot. Is it the best phone? That's all up to personal opinion.

Fact is, much like the iPod before it with the portable music market (and the walkman before that etc), the iPhone is popularizing certain features in the phone market, and that's a good thing. Yes there were touch screen phones before the iPhone, yes there were "smart" features before the iPhone. Yes there were mobile internet browsers before iPhone's Safari, etc. The great thing about the iPhone is it brings many features to the mass public's eye that weren't seen by the average person before.

What does this do for us? It creates greater competition among mobile makers to put better, newer, more robust features in their phones for the average consumer.

So whether or not you like the iPhone. Or whether or not you like the coverage of it, or the people who own one, or who are interested in owning one. Understand that it's existence is good for everyone who owns a mobile phone. Because now manufacturers are rushing and pressuring themselves to put better equipment out on the market.

In my opinion, the advancement of the market.. is a good thing. Regardless of what you feel about the iPhone specifically.
I'd love to know how the GPS service works compared to other phones, especially VZNavigator enabled ones. (ie. Does it follow you/update when you move, does it give voice directions, etc etc)

Thanks. :)
All is fine on my BlackBook as well.

*shrugs*
Happened to me. Restarted once, then it got to the desktop. Hard power off, zapped pram 3 times, it booted up. Slowly, but it booted up. After that initial hiccup everything has gone fine.

So try zapping the pram?
Just to add to the list of people that are actually satisfied with their MacBooks, I, and two of my friends are all very happy with ours, especially the displays. Once again it's a case of the anti something crowd who speaks much louder.

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say that Apple isn't the only company to have made a bad product or two in a production line.
Yet we spend much more on war technologies that destroy life. I prefer to spend on exploration and education than weapons of destruction. But to each their own.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
