you guys are idiots.. any idea how much of a collector's item this is gonna be? It will be comparable to having a SEALED copy of it's first release on VHS.... i'm gonna buy 3 or 4... it's too bad that most of US on here are too geeky to think straight, but there is definitely potential for Disney's FIRST animated film (and no Pixar films don't count) on Blu ray to be a very big deal to collectors down the road... think about it.

I really really want to buy the 55" XBR8... my flagship 40" XBR Bravia is doing just fine but it's size seems a little small compared to all of the newer larger models. I would still put it up against ANY new model though since it's picture is far superior to most other lcd sets that are out now. I just have to convince my girlfriend that i NEED to spend $7000 and taxes on a new set. It's a good thing though that i'm good friends with a manager at a local audio/video shop since the idea of getting it at cost is a real plus!

so is this basically an HD DVD player repackaged? cause i remember reading stories about after their HD players demise they were touting it as this awesome upconverting player instead... sad attempt at clearing old stock if you ask me..

i'm in Canada and our Shaw HD cable service sucks my nuts... audio cuts out constantly... and it's expensive, so i shouldn't have to put up with this bullshit!! i want something like this come to canada where we have the Motorola 160GB HDD box, but i can't watch 2 different shows at different times, GET WITH THE PROGRAM SHAW FAMILY... anyone who knows em give them a swift kick in the nuts for me :)
