And since you *have* to have TiVo, the cableco's crappy box or something similar, how come no one's making those thinner?

Though there was one recently that attached to the back of the panel, like a wafer. That's the right way to think...
What happens if I plug an Airave into this? Wait...uh...crap.
Carry a good camera and carry a good GPS - Geotag later.

Trying to put both gizmos together isn't ideal, especially since the GPS needs to be on for a while to figure out where it is, and it's sorta got to stay awake, too. Cameras don't need to do that.

Accuracy is affected by satellite visibility, so one (silly) way to improve it is to wear the GPS under a hat. Some sew a pocket in there to help. Because a GPS might have a good idea where it is in your pocket or in a camera, but if you can orient it to keep its view of satellites optimal, your results will also be optimal.

Any of the trail versions that Garmin makes will have a "track log" feature that geotagging uses.
The TSA takes my toothpaste already - now they're gonna get all worked up over phones. Flying is already enough of a pain in the ass, now this...
Certainly any one of the nuvi series from Garmin - there's a lot to choose from. The simplest & cheapest are really very good and then they add B&W and go up from there. Excellent GPS receivers, excellent screens, data handling between the unit and computers is top notch. Bluetooth is handy but is best in a very quiet vehicle. Map updates are easy to handle and you can even get update subscriptions for the life of the unit.

I've been using different GPS units since 1995 (way, way back), and now we've got several nuvi's, very happy with all of them.

This isn't a complaint against any GPS unit, but I've not found the traffic data to be detailed/timely enough to be of much use. That will probably evolve and depend a great deal on the DOT of each area anyway.
Excellent system - I need it!

"12 times less"? How about something arithmetically correct? "Twelfth" maybe? Okay, no, maybe 8%? Splitting hairs, I know, but still...
The series is pretty good though...
I looked it up: It's "clear methacrylate polymers" or the trademarked "Plexiglas"!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
