Fly me to the moon! Oh wait, that would be Virgin Galactic. ;)
I love me some e-ink. Watch me baby!
Yea, no watch for me either. Bought a cool binary one a year ago then promptly lost it on a bus. :(
My wife loves her 8gb Zen and I've made some seriously good use of my 30gb Vision. Congrats to them for continuing to push out some great DAPs. Competition is good.
I'm in the exact same boat. Would ditch my T|X if the Touch had Mail, a worth-while calendar, and Notes. Without that, I'm afraid I can't justify it. Shame too since it's such a cool platform.
Wow, what a stunningly bad idea. The only reason I'm interested in the Touch is a) I don't want a phone-based device and b) the keyboard is the best on-screen out there. For them to artificially neuter the iCal app and omit things like Notes and Mail is terrible. This could be a great PDA and Apple should acknowledge it. If simple software hacks and 3rd party apps enable this device as a PDA for me then I'll buy it. Otherwise, no sale.
I want some e-ink goodness!
Is the screen backlit with LED or other?
I'd love to use it to design new mobile web apps.
What a total tease -- where are the instructions for setting something like this up ourselves?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
