I think a real power conditioner might have some validity in the audiophile world, assuming its not just a surge protector.

Absolutely, I have a Microsoft media center bluetooth keyboard and sometimes it feels like the mouse cursor is being dragged around by a piece of elastic. Gaming is definitely out of the question
I remember back in the day when I was obsessed with totally silent pc's, I took the PSU out of my old PIII and removed the outer casing so I could remove the last fan from the system. I just had the guts sitting on top of the CPU case under my desk. Ahh to be young and reckless again.....
I think what ET meant to say is Hong Kong doesn't have the same restrictions. No internet censorship, British modeled judicial system etc... ... at least until 2047
This would make an awesome replacement for paintball
1/3rd of a screen and only 27 keys? How in the hell is anybody expected to do any work on THAT?
You can bet your ass the Chinese government has total access to all communications going though that network within China, and that all those certain subversive phrases and keyword will be watched for.
@Ben

Not to be pedantic but your sea tortoise would drown, as they only live on land. Sea turtle maybe
Condolences to you, Sir. Thanks for sharing that. It was inspirational, dignified and a reminder that we really need to cherish the time we have with family
yeah, that sucks. At least with Microsoft I could get a free upgrade to Vista if I bought a new PC in those final months before shipping. If Apple would do that then I would go out and buy a MBP right now.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
