Obviously the people that write these anti-copyright, anti-patent emails haven't created something unique that they want to protect... talk to me after you've invented something and let's see how your tune changes.
Influence on the "world"... try a chunk of the galaxy... we've been broadcasting for 80 years... and our signals are now 80 light years "out there"...

I tossed my Cingular 8125 and bypassed the 8525 because of a touchscreen interface for dialing (the sliding keyboard is a joke for one handed operation)... touchscreens are fun at first... but the novelty fades really fast when you want to dial a number without looking at the device, for example, while driving... I got the Palm Treo 750 instead and I couldn't be happier...
Blu-ray will win simply because they have Apple... if Apple was on the HD-DVD side then I'd have no idea... but Apple people buy whatever Apple tells 'em to and they're not afraid of spending money... now, what stock do I invest in to make a buck off of Blu-ray winning?
Orb sucks...
Where did you see a price? If it's less than $500 and takes good photos then I think a lot of people will buy it. If it's less than a $1,000 and it takes excellent photos then a lot of people will buy it...
Just buy it from Circuit City, then return it within the return period... buy it again from Best Buy, repeat till happy with price...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
