The only difference between Stern and Imus is that Stern is witty? Stern may indeed be wittier, but come on now. There are vast differences between them. For one, Imus' show is one that is political in nature that provides a public service by critiquing the government (you know, the primary concern of the 1st amendment?). Howard Stern also enjoys freedoms provided by the 1st amendment, and by pushing the envelope, protects it in his own way. However, lets be clear and point out that Stern's primary concern is to push the limits of taste, while Imus' primary concern is to take the government and its officials to task.

Someone who equates the two shows is someone who obviously doesn't listen to either enough to know anything about them.
yeah i agree with the last few posts: you only really touch the mouse with your finger tips anyway. obviously. people should think before they get all hot and bothered. that goes out to the bloggers as well. some of the things you guys write are a little mindless.
re: I buy systems for the games and Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo all have their own great exclusives. I'm sorry, am I being too evenhanded and reasonable? - tom

no, you just have too much money
Gav - look, three of them are wearing iGlasses too.
can you do us a favor and stop putting up pictures that you know are fake?
yeah i agree. sell these things to consumers for extra so they can fund the real purpose of the machines. the treehugger crowd and the like will be willing to pay extra for a good cause. i'm talking $300-400.

what i'm really against is greedy nerds getting their hands on these things for the same price it takes to get one to a child in the third world.
i can't wait til wimax is everywhere. digital utopia...
although you would have to pay me vast amounts to use windows, i see wht oktobr is sying. there are some very industry specific apps that only run on windows. it's not an instance where you would want to run it on virtual pc becasue you need to run it for extended periods at one time. until, if ever, mac get a higher market share, industry specific apps will still be written just for windows.
i understand the geek allure of running windows on a mac, but seriously. windows on a mac? why? as far as i'm concerned, the mac os is one of the main reasons to buy a mac in the first place.
genius

these are for ballers only. if you don't get it... well then you're obviously not very baller

yes, i used a noun as an adjective... see? you just don't get it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
