same here.. maybe if your a blind granny you might not notice the difference, but for pro work, high speed & precise targeting & dragging, this mouse is useless.. speedmouse does help a little, but this thing has a mind of its own, try moving the mouse around the corners of a square.. repeat.. every move is different, you cant judge where its going to end up or how much force its going to take to get there.. i work with 2 x 24" screens writing music for TV & ive switched back to the greasy nippled mighty mouse because it is a million times more precise.. im totally gutted, was expecting so much, wen i use the magic mouse i just end up frustrated. its really done my head in.. i cannot recommend this mouse for anything other than a "guess where the arrow is" game.
Its not about being an Apple fan ( which i am ) but this is Sad, wrong, false, desperate & lame. Its like the larger the lie the more people believe it.. the staff are making the noise. that constant squawk, reminds me of primary school plays where everyone had to pretend to cheer ( usually led by 1 or 2 individuals ) . We all know that these new stores will end up just becoming a service centre for repair or unhappy users... enjoy the pretend party you sad sad people, these places will soon become hell on earth & only another reason for any confused visitors to switch to mac...
ive always believed iweb can grow in to something very special .. i think the addition of the widget bar is a good sign, in the same way developers can make apps for your ipod, i believe web widgets will soon be another addition to the revenue stream.

from media players to guestbook, there are some simple things we would all like to see in iweb, wouldn't it be great to search a store for extras to make tweaking your site that little bit easier :)

does anyone know, if historically apple have ever released a new operating system / update with out it being accompanied by a new pro tower for developer heavy weights ?

soo ready to buy a new tower, if & when we see a bump / refresh

Ive not seen a wife with blue tooth yet..
what's to stop apple doing more announcements on what ever date they want via a QT channel or podcast.. i mean they could even make a news from apple app with weekly video press releases to the world.. the fact that there not doing the shows any more is no indication that they will stop telling us about the products or developer enhancements... apple loves to have control of what it does, there innovators in information & technology, there whole approach to breaking news to us is changing, but it is not stopping... people complaining about this will feel very childish wen apple presents its new way of delivering this information to us... so ... Grow up... Apple Has !

PS. Poor phil, if he hasn't got enough pressure on him that day already.. & i bet hes got some great stuff for us too.. ( new snow leopard ready tower pleez )
its not just the blu ray movies dude.. if your working on audio / video gone are the days where a project can be backed up on 1 or 2 dvd's.. we all need a larger storage format for it to be any use.

Apple have got 2 options, include blu-ray or include an esata port

Space truly is the final frontier & without it, we all end up with more hard drives then computers, growing steadily until you need another & another & another.. i myself have 11tb in use.. Blu ray really gives me an option outside of a physical hard drive.

briefly on the subject of movies.. I download hd movies from itunes, but man come on, it doesn't come close to the quality of a blu ray playing from a ps3 to a 50% plasma..full HD = 1080p 60 frames a second, what apple offer as a HD download is not even close, no option for Dolby true HD audio, DTS master audio, nothing above 1982 pro logic & low level 5.1, this is like the dolby surround sound issue all over again.

With those new graphic chips in the laptops, it stands to reason that we will see an updated Tower come january 09, i myself & holding out for this one & genuinely hope it includes blu-ray & esata ports built in. they are fast becoming essential to many of our media production needs & are already a standard on many media applications as the only physical option for users to share HD.

just to chuck this in the melting pot.. im not sure, but, hasn't every major update or release of photoshop (cs) always been in conjunction with or close to a new power tower release ?.. there's a few pro apps out there specially on the audio /video side seem to be on 'the bridge' as it were, maybe a push in the tower direction is the secret there hiding ?
Massive... defo the summer surprise hit.. music is wicked too.. cant wait to get hold of it.

i actually believe that in 20-50 years time we will be living in modular apple homes, clean green & energy efficient, & the door bell will go " Baarrrrrrrrrr" like the start up sound :) but apparently there's no windows hahahahah i could run with these jokes all day, but seriously folks, id buy one if they did.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
