personally, i don't want widgets on my tv. i want all of that real estate for a picture and i'm thinking many consumers will feel the same way. to me this has got to be the dumbest idea ever and i'm predicting that in two years it'll be dead.
dumb. they stopped being funny in 2004.
@mary

oh please, are you going tell us that you've NEVER socialized with a co-worker while on the clock? you've never surfed the web to read a story, check your email or send an i.m.? and as a previous poster mentioned, have you never come back from lunch a few minutes late or attended an in-office party in the break room?

are you docking your time card for those things? i'd wager that those 20-30 minutes a week that "add up" are also countered by all those minutes that you spend not working when you are clocked in.

cry me a river.
what, no link to the nyt report? care to link to any of your sources or was this some guy at the bar saying he "works" for the nyt and he heard that msft is abandoning their ad campaign - which doesn't seem too likely.
maybe everyone is just reading into one particular comment from the movie. it's an animated feature, just sit back and enjoy it and leave the politics for after you've left the theater.
i agree with YFTT, that trailer wasn't any better than any of the others we've seen so far. personally, i think they've packed too much into the frame. i find myself almost going into a seizure and not being able to really follow anything.

most influential film of 2008? i doubt that.
i don't think the site was aimed to reach just you. do some online research about women, age 25 to 54 and you'll find out that the majority of women online, most of the time, go to sites that feature "fashion, beauty, love, and astrology." i should know, i work for a company that advertises to women online.

notice i didn't write ALL women, ALL the time. while you personally aren't the typical target looking to read about nail polish and how to get a man; most women are. and i'd venture to guess that the number of women to this site is a minority both in total site visitors and overall online population further making my point.
haha, nice whale tail!
it's not soda but instead flavored water. i see cans like these (without the heroes overlay) all the time in breakrooms at companies around the area - it's a local favorite.

I'd rather see you fix the typo in your comment before calling other people out on their typos.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
