The Ford Fusion Hydrogen 999 car is a fuel cell car, ie: electric. James' car has a Chevy big block engine burning hydrogen gas instead of gasoline.
@shaunisadirty : the upgraded 3MP camera (and associated video capabilities) is what has me most interested in upgrading to the 3GS from my 1st gen iPhone come January when my contract is up. That and MMS (not supported by 1st phones from what I've read), the GPS capability (but that was available in the 3G), plus being 16GB vs my current 8GB.

Overall I agree with you though on going from a 3G to a 3GS vs simply upgrading to OS 3.0.

The biggest (and only?) real benefit I can see to the Voice Control on the 3GS is giving you near hands-free control of your iPhone whilst driving. You've still got to push and hold the Home button apparently, but that's easy enough to do without needing to take your eyes off the road. It's kind of like Ford/MS's SYNC, just for your iPhone. It'd certainly make it easier to change songs vs fumbling with the device itself. I wonder if Voice Control will be integrated with the new TomTom nav app? Or even just with the standard built-in Maps app?
Personally I'd take one of the new Fusion hybrids over a Prius any day.

Or a Jetta Sportwagen TDI for that matter.
@Brian: You might want to read up a bit on the history of the brand. It has quite a lot to do with the US military, seeing as how the brand was started by AM General as a way to sell a civilian version of the military M998 "Humvee".
"I like the sound and feel of a real engine, not a bunch of batteries. Give me a hydrogen powered vehicle!"

The irony of that statement strikes me as quite funny. I'm assuming you're talking about a hydrogen ICE? Because now-a-days, "hydrogen powered" generally refers to a hydrogen fuel cell... no sound, and definitely no real engine.
I want a diesel hatchback, haha.
@ Joe: still cheaper to fill up on kWh (for now) than on gasonline.
"Companies should not make a product that "discriminates" against some people,"

Ooooh, ok... so I guess we should just get rid of all 2-seater vehicles because they discriminate against families with more than 2 people in them, meaning anyone with children. And we should just get rid of most cars all together because they can't tow heavy trailers, so that discriminates against most people in the agricultural industry, meaning people that need to haul stuff.

Who the hell in Manhattan owns a car anyway besides rich people that have in-building garages?

If a PHEV was available, why would anyone want a regular hybrid? If your round-trip daily commute is under that magical 40-mile mark, you don't use any gasoline AT ALL in a PHEV. After you use up the pure EV capacity, it runs like a regular hybrid. What's not to want? Price not withstanding, I think the Prius may be in for a rude awakening if/when the Volt finally hits dealerships.
they couldn't call it "global warming" anymore because some places were getting colder.

So how come change is "good" if it's Obama's, but "bad" if it's Mother Nature's?
Exactly. This virtually assures the CFC bill will get passed. What's the best way to get your pork approved? Tack it on a larger bill you're pretty sure will go through anyway, especially one where you can easily vilify it's opponents.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
