Germans have a word for 'giant nerd in the sky over Atlanta?'
He may not be fluent enough to narrate. From the receipt, he's Italian. He paid 499 euros for the phone.
The video is useless with that audio track.

If you're going to cart your $1,500 camera around, bring a $20 mike so the material is usable.
This is one of the silliest articles engadget has ever run.

My backup strategy:

a) TrueImage mirrors the boot partition to six backups on both internal and external drives nightly (so I have perfect mirrors going back three days on both drives.

b) SecondCopy backs up several versions of all data files at frequencies from one to 60 days - if I want to know what was in a file a day ago, or 87 days ago, I can find it.

c) Mozy backs up all important data to the net every night.

Once I set it up, it requires no supervision at all, and doesn't slow the computer as it runs from 1 - 5am.

The solution in this article is absolutely nuts.
It's not for photo buffs; it's for police departments. In no time at all it will become the standard -- every significant crime scene will have to be photographed with one. It will be a very valuable patent.

The reason it will sell is that it will be simple enough for the dumbest cop to use correctly. The instructions will be:

- set up tripod
- attach gizmo to top
- press button
- don't stand in front of camera until it beeps that it's done.

They'll sell a ton of them. Every law enforcement agency will buy at least one, maybe a few. Real estate investors will buy them. Many other govt. agencies, too.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
