Nov 16th 2008 10:55AM not really since they would just pirate video anyways dvd production and vhs production will continue (pirate copies for all via it rip from dvd/vhs/beta/laserdisc/theatre cam recorded/bluray)

Nov 1st 2008 12:51PM i would be all for renting via apple and vudu say if they could get both services for $5-8 a month ( a little less than netflix since with netflix u also get a dvd rental)
i wouldnt mind having 1 or 2 of the services plus my blu ray purchases for movies that i want to keep

if im buying, then it must be disc only, no other real option for buying, because what happens if i wanna sell my movie ( for a lower cost, or for aprofit (think out of print releases, i once sold dawn of the dead for nearly $200 on amazon)
i think both can co exist. i just wish services like vudu and apple would be able to do something like netflix is doing instead of a per movie rental. unlimited rentals with newer movies would be awesome for renting.

Oct 3rd 2008 4:09PM in the 90s paul heyman and jim crocket ran a promotion wwn world wrestling network (was to become an online wrestling show broadcast in HD. they only did 1 or 2 tapings, before heyman left (at the time heyman just started in ecw right before the switch from eastern to extreme championship wrestling) this was early 90s

This is a HUGE deal. All Netflix subscribers should just go out and buy an Xbox now. It is the cheapest, fastest way to rent movies and now the library is meaningful. Wow.

the roku netflix player cost $99, and will be adding hulu and other services in november
so thats the cheapest, not all people are gamers, and while i have a 360 i wouldn't use it for movies, my roku box does just fine and makes no noise, unlike the 360.
