The Pixi is a fail. Come on...no wifi in this day and age? And I'll take a bigger screen + sliding keyboard anytime.

WebOS is great, but it's not going to take off. Android is the future...it is more or less impossible for Palm to get anywhere near the explosive growth Android is seeing now and will see in the next several years.
That's because it is running Android. Android is Open Source and thus free for anyone to use!

This is a good thing, Android is in another billion person market. India is getting Android phones too!

That's just more apps and more devs for us!
What do you like more about the Pre than the Sprint Hero(not the European Hero)?

But again, I've read several professional reviews saying the Hero is better than the Pre and none saying the Pre is better.

In what way is Android not primetime? WebOS is not going to survive in this market...seriously your app market is taking forever to take off.

Android is the future...just wait and see, competing with a good Open Source platform is very difficult.
Those are two entirely different classes of phones. The CLIQ is aimed for the middle market. Pretty much anything with with an ARM11 cpu(anything 528 MHz) is not high end.

The HD2 or any Snapdragon phone is obviously high end. The HD2 is supposed to $750 USD when it launches.
All Moto phones should have MotoBLUR...including the Droid
Sprint Hero > Palm Pre
I don't think I've read a single review that says otherwise.
It doesn't look huge. Yes it's bigger than an iPhone...but it has a physical keyboard. If you want a thinner phone, get one without a keyboard.
Inspiration? The iPhone is just a screen with 1 button. Not exactly new, groundbreaking or innovative.
The real issue is these touchscreen phones are pretty simple and straightforward. Large screen followed by a few buttons.
CyanogenMod is a great stable ROM. But it's boring compared to MOTOBLUR and HTC SenseUI. I always have the latest CM ROM on my sdcard in case I need it, but I don't usually use it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
